The major release of the week, Prabhu Dheva's Shahid-Sonakshi starrer, R...RAJKUMAR, saw a mixed start. While the multiplexes were below par, the single screens fared much better with collections in the range of 50-55 percent. The best performance comes from Mumbai circuit (Maharashtra-Gujarat) and parts of the Hindi belt.
With the audience feedback being a mixed bag, there is still hope that the film may improve during the weekend, though the multiplex performance will act as a big spoiler.
The other release of the week, CLUB 60, boasting of a superb performance from veteran actor, Farooque Shaikh, has appealed only to a select section of the audience.
Meanwhile last Friday's Tigmanshu Dhulia directed Saif Ali Khan and Sonakshi Sinha starrer, BULLETT RAJA, managed steady but low end collections during the weekdays, and ended the week netting in the 33-35 crore range. The film can at best hope to be a break even project, as it has failed in the overseas too!
